Decision no. 70/2006

In this case an application was filed for in rem restitution of tangible movable assets for Jewish communal organizations.  The application was not filed by a Jewish communal organisation or its legal successor and as a result it had to be dismissed as it did not fall under the Arbitration Panel for In Rem Restitution's scope of competence. Moreover, an application was filed for in rem restitution of properties for which no specific address was stated.  Despite extensive research into historical sources, the Arbitration Panel was unable to identify any properties to which the application might refer. Therefore, as there was no specific property eligible for restitution, the application had to be dismissed.
