Arbitration Panel for In Rem Restitution

The independent Arbitration Panel for In Rem restitution decided upon applications for the return of publicly-owned property pursuant to the General Settlement Fund Law. The Government of the United States of America and the Austrian Federal Government each appointed one Member. The Chairperson was appointed by these two members. Prof. Josef Aicher is the Chairman of the Arbitration Panel; Prof. August Reinisch was appointed by the US Government and Retired Ambassador Erich Kussbach by the Austrian Government.

The Arbitration Panel for In Rem Restitution was dissolved on 29 June 2021.
