Organs of the General Settlement Fund

The organs of the General Settlement Fund are the Board of Trustees, the Secretary General and the Claims Committee. Furthermore, an Arbitration Panel for the examination of applications for in rem restitution of publicly-owned property has been established with the General Settlement Fund.

Arbitration Panel for In Rem Restitution

The independent Arbitration Panel for In Rem restitution decides upon applications for the return of publicly-owned property pursuant to the General Settlement Fund Law. The Government of the United States of America and the Austrian Federal Government each appointed one Member. The Chairperson was appointed by these two members. Prof. Josef Aicher is the Chairman of the Arbitration Panel; Prof. August Reinisch was appointed by the US Government and Retired Ambassador Erich Kussbach by the Austrian Government.
